Canadian band Ten Strings and a Goat Skin to perform on Friday in Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Park concert

The Canadian musical group Ten Strings and a Goat Skin will perform at 8 p.m. Friday in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

The show will be held in the Happy Days Lodge off state Route 303 in Boston Heights.

The bilingual group is known for its Irish, Acadian, French tunes plus original songs.

Jesse Periard was born in Quebec and raised on Prince Edward Island. Brothers Rowen and Caleb Gallant were both born on Prince Edward Island.

Adults are $17 and $5 for children 3 to 12.

The doors open at 7 p.m.

Ski lesson — The National Park Service is offering a learn to cross-country ski class from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Cuyahoga Valley. Snowshoe hike — The National Park Service is presenting a snowshoe hike from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Cuyahoga Valley. Meet at the Kendall Lake Shelter off Truxell Road in Boston Township. Free. Rentals are available. If there’s not enough snow, the outing will become a hike. 330-657-2752.

Adult archery — Summit Metro Parks is presenting archery for adults from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Coventry Oaks Area of Firestone Metro Park. That at 40 Axline Avenue in South Akron. In addition, there will be archery for senior citizens 55 and older from 3 to 4:30 p.m. All equipment and instruction will be provided. Participants must be at least 18 years old.
